William Crowder (@WilliamCrowder), Managing Director with DreamIt Ventures and DreamIt Access’ program lead will talk in-depth about this tremendous and unique opportunity and answer audience questions personally. The evening includes Mr. Crowder speaking on Minority Tech Startups: Moving from today's realities to wins, where he will discuss his thoughts on:
opportunities in the startup space,
the formulae for successful minority startups, and
how minorities can better equip and position themselves in the startup space.
DreamIt Access is DreamIt’s commitment to launching minority-led startups in each of its upcoming accelerator cycles in New York and beyond. It is the sequel to DreamIt’s minority entrepreneur accelerator program, the first of its kind, that concluded in Philadelphia in 2011.

Managing Director with DreamIt Ventures
William Crowder is a Managing Director with DreamIt Ventures. He is responsible for the oversight and operation of DreamIt Access, a groundbreaking vision to dramatically increase the number of minority-led startups in the tech sector.
William is the Founder and Managing Director of Growth Strategy Advisors, a strategic advisory and business development company launched in 2008. Since its inception, William has overseen the firm’s growth and nationwide expansion. As its Managing Director, he has been directly involved in the formation and implementation of new growth strategies, assessments of new business opportunities, and the launching of new ventures for a wide variety of digital and traditional media companies including Time Warner Cable, AOL, Radio One & Interactive One, and Thomson Reuters.
He has over 15 years of strategy and operations consulting experience; many of them with technology and digital media businesses and has been involved in the acquisition and integration of several technology companies including Third Screen Media (acquired by AOL), Community Connect (acquired by Interactive One), and Transaction Network Services (acquired by GTCR). Prior to founding GS Advisors, William led strategic efforts at AOL and was a consultant with Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman). In a previous professional lifetime he was a software developer and core member of the Prodigy Internet development team. William received his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He also holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
